Yesterday in Las Vegas billionaire narcissist Donald Trump announced the kickoff of the new season of his pseudo-reality program The Apprentice.
This year’s edition will follow up on the theme concept introduced last year. You may recall 2011’s “Celebrity Apprentice” that featured such luminaries as Meatloaf and Gary Busey.
Trump announced the lead off personality for the new production would be none other than Republican presidential candidate and front runner Willard Mitt Romney. The program would be comprised of similar ersatz humanoids and labeled “The Synthetic Apprentice".
Other members of the cast will include Barbie, Mr. Data, the bionic woman, the Tin Woodsman, Joan Rivers, Frankenstein’s monster and Lisa from the movie “Weird Science”.
As in prior episodes, contestants will be faced with a variety of business challenges testing their entrepreneurial acumen. Among the planned scenarios are foreclosing on a family home, raiding a company’s pension fund, moving money profitably through a variety of offshore accounts and devising novel means of tax avoidance.
