Romney to 60 Minutes: Campaign Doesn’t Need Turnaround - Video

Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney said his campaign does not need a turnaround in an interview scheduled to air on 60 Minutes tonight.

CBS News released a portion of the interview Saturday in which CBS Evening News anchor Scott Pelley noted Romney’s performance slumping after the release of his “47 percent” remarks at a fundraiser in May, and asked how the self-described “turnaround artist” was going to turn his campaign around.

When Romney answered that his campaign is “within the margin of error” and that he planned to move forward with his message of government encouragement of entrepreneurship, Pelley pressed him and asked the question again.

“Well, it doesn’t need a turnaround,” Romney said. “We’ve got a campaign which is tied with an incumbent president of the United States.”
