  1. My child has lost another of her teachers at her school. She has had so many teacher changes this year I think I'm going to seriously seek to send her to another school.

But we never hear the superintendent or the committee ladies tell us why so many teachers are leaving in the middle of the school year. It's very devastating to her and her friends.

One of my friends told me a few minutes ago that the school is looking for two Spanish teachers right now. Math teachers have come and gone at an alarming
rate. Is it the children? The lack of calm in the building? Bad administrators? Bad hiring practices?

What ever it is it's not good for the children.

Can any other parent who has placed their child in a neighboring school system suggest where I should look to send my girls?

  2. It is an administrative problem. They think that hiring all these new teachers will mean that those teachers will conform to their idiocy. Anyone (especially all the teachers who have left the building) who challenges them are shown the door (usually on a Thursday Afternoon).

The administration treats teachers (especially veteran teacher) like private nobodies in the Marine Corp. The problem is that many of the veteran teachers are more highly educated and experienced than those who are in charge of the district. And, when they challenge the administration on anything, they are put in their place or terminated....
