When honoring another's long career shouldn't you invest the time and effort to get their actual years of service correct? “The great enemy of clear language is insincerity. When there is a gap between one's real and one's declared aims, one turns, as it were, instinctively to long words and exhausted idioms, like a cuttlefish squirting out ink.”―George Orwell
Well, it appears that George Orwell knew McLoughlin and the other bobbleheads personally! Of course he did, wasn't McLoughlin his teacher? And most certainly Donovan checked his work for spelling errors.
Just read today's Telegram article regarding the school committee's self-evaluation of their performance this year. Are you kidding me? They reported what a fabulous job they have done!McLoughlin needs to bend over and pull her head out of her ass. (She'll have to push Congdon and Quinney's heads out of the way, as they are constantly missing that ass. And while she's there she may as well pull Donovan's head out too.)1, More students than ever electing school choice2. Total disregard for selection "policies" for key positions; including superintendent, former MHS principal, director of operations, etc.3. Catastrophic unemployment costs, kicking $400,000. in the ass.4. Hidden legal fees that may well equal, or exceed, the unemployment costs5. Administration, faculty and staff changes like a ride at Disney World.6. And perhaps the most damming - public perception and support eroded, perhaps beyond repair. I usually don't publicly support politicians, but if the wax ever a time for experience and REAL knowledge, it's right now. I think WD find these needed characteristics in Scott Lazo and Dr. Raymond Page. But they can only make improvements for our kids if the girls:1. Admit they have failed, and 2. Listen and learn (that will be impossible for McLoughlinand Donovan, but there is small hope that Congdon and Quinney will recognize how bad things have become on their watch.
