Anyone who watched that school committee meeting can only conclude that this school committee is incapable of improving our schools. Some exact points . . .Mrs. Quinney stated that she has scheduled a negotiations subcommittee meetings at 10:00 AM on a school day. Why are we taking employees away from their jobs, still paying them, to attend negotiation meetings? These meeting were always held in the evening. Are the negotiators positions of such little importance that they can miss hours of work for union issues? Is this an example of McLoughlin and Donovan "Best Practices?"And then of course the committee wind bag, Abrahamson, goes off on a ten minute oration of mandated testing. That's all he brings to the committee - wind. Not a single constructive thought or action. He's little more that a lap dog for Donovan. The leadership of McLoughlin and Donovan are real problem with our school district. June is coming, and they are going.
