  1. Hang in There Mrs. EarlsMarch 25, 2015 at 7:01 PM

It was sad to see how Erin Quinney is holding a strong grudge towards MHS Principal, Melissa Earls. Quinney holds Earls responsible for the investigation, and subsequent resignation, of Superintendent Patricia Gardner, after only 6 months on the job. It's widely known that Quinney and Gardner are pals and socialize together.

Tuesday night's interrogation of Mrs. Earls regarding the highly successful online educational program, Virtual High School (VHS). First offered to SHS students in the Fall of 2007, VHS offers hundreds of core courses, credit recovery offerings, Advanced Placement courses, etc. The offerings available to our students are exceptional. The "seat" cost is minimal for our district, provided the district provide a teacher to teach one long distance course. A great opportunity for an educator, as well.

Yet, the ever-condescending Erin Quinney decided to grill Mrs. Earls about the approximately $15,000 expenditure. I don't recall Quinney interrogating the principal last year about this cost. I don't recall Mrs. Quinney ranting to any of the former superintendents regarding the $680,000 wasted on unemployment, or the $365,000 wasted on legal fees over the last 2 and a half years. But ol' Erin had to badger the current MHS principal because she holds her responsible for Pat Gardner's departure.

I suspect that due to way Mrs. Earls is being treated by the power mongers that she will find employment elsewhere next school year; I can't say as I blame her. But we'll still be stuck the Quinney.
