  1. This is clearly an attempt to short circuit any attempt by the public to appear on TV at the School Committee meeting.

Was not the surprise attack on the School Committee by Tojo Manna and the seven cheap dwarfs on Monday during Councilors Forum a clever means of short circuiting the School Committee from defending their position in front of the public?

Something is wrong when despite sixth graders snorting heroin purchased from seniors and juniors, the adults insist on keeping eleven and twelve year olds with 17 & 18 year old children(?) over politics and career considerations.

Keep that school consolidated and the blame shifts from the School Committee to those that speak against a two school solution.

In addition, if an effort is made to keep the 11-12 year olds separated from the 17-18 year olds, fewer parents will take the school choice alternative.

Shephard Hill is opening up many school choice slots. Keep that School by the old dump consolidated and so many students will depart for Dudley that the school will reach a point of no return.

Councilor Clemence has been somewhat quite recently( for her). There was a time when she, along with Chairman Nikolla, thought the school choice exodus was related to the old run down High School. They insisted they had the solution and nobody challenged them. The school was adopted as Councilor Nikolla's "baby", in her own words. Why is she running the Charter Committee instead of running for School Committee?

Cancer fundraising is the #1 legal activity in town. If the School remains consolidated, we should be raising funds to help our students with poorer parents escape from that school with sufficient transportation funds go an actual education. Eventually we will have a 10:1 student: teacher ratio, and when the grades remain the same or decline even more, perhaps people will realize the problem is not all about leadership.

The School Committee has little control over how many students are drugged up by their Doctors due to ADHD and other underappreciated behavioral issues, like curiousity.

This is going to be a very entertaining election year. Thank goodness for the brilliant school choice solution that protects at least some of our children.

    1. Did you just come back to town after an extended (3 year) absence?!? -

Where were you and the rest of the McLoughlin/Donovan supporters when they changed the makeup of the new school from 2 principals to 1 principal???? 30 days before the school opened - when the prudent thing to do would have been to wait a year and reassess how things were going.

There was no discussion / hearing / concern for the impact it would have on consolidating 7 grades of students ????

No - you all wanted and voted for 'change' - how did that work out for you? - more importantly - how did that work out for your kids????

You gave them the power - and they bullied (yes, bullied - Mrs McLoughlin could be the posterchild for bullying) their way through the next 3 years; rewriting policies to suit them (at the moment) - and then - not following the policies.

by the way - there are no more school choice openings for 6th graders in Dudley - the slots are full.....

  3. The majority on the school committee has made up its mind and is giving the finger to the entire population of this town.

Boycott this hearing and show up at the regular school committee meeting with your pitchforks and torches. It's time to slay the monsters!

  5. Where's the mediaMay 22, 2015 at 12:08 AM

Where's the media on this? O'Brien makes fat jokes about McLoughlin and they are all swarming like bees around spring flowers. But when the she ignores the public and destroys our school system they are nowhere to be seen.

Dis-invited to the prom this evening -

I was just informed that Mr Bishop has been dis-invited to the prom this evening via a VM left on his phone by Ms Stanton. I am stunned.

An invitation was extended to Mr Bishop by the Prom Advisors - please know that this year's graduating seniors were sophmores when the building opened in Sept, 2012 and Mr Bishop was honored to be invited.

And today - only a few hours before the event - he received a VM message that he was not allowed to attend the event.

What are you afraid of Ms Stanton?
