Yikes, they had me fooled. Even when they didn't put the meeting on the air I thought some people might be over reacting, but especially watching the BOARD OF HEALTH MEETING on you tube, the landfill IS being expanded again, the the Town Council needs cover.

Fool us once, shame on them, fool us twice, and cover it up? It'll be a done deal again, and all they will do is,shrug their shoulders and puke out their same old bumpersticker sized phrases. "We need the money." "We already have a Landfill" "It is in the contract".

Fir every dollar we got on the landfill, it cost ten dollars in reduced real estate values, and untold covered up Asthma cases that are off the charts.

If they fail to have the Tiwn Manager give his secret Goals and ibhectives, I know two Councilors that are up for re-election that will have a very difficult time returning.

This is not honest government. They treat us like children, and they believe very weak disproven legal advise like they arrived on the short bus.

Councilor Manna won't allow such shenanigans. She will insist that the Town Manager give his presentation before the people of Southbridge before voting on it.

This is America, not Putin's Russia. She has integrity and so do the others. The cameras were probably out of order that night.

  2. Hmm. I am not as concerned about what is on the Town Manager's stated goals and objectives as I am concerned about vertical expansion and potential above ground horizontal expansion that is not mentioned very often if at all before the Council in a public venue.

And people need to accept that the predicted underground landfill expansion HAS already occured, and this underground expansion via leachate has expanded the reach of the toxins beyong anyones fears. This will cost us,serioys money, perhaps more than what we get from Landfill revenue.

What we need on that list of objectives is landfill cleanup NOW, and we need a ByLaw forbidding any out of town contaminated soil.
