At the end of March The O’Zone reported that Southbridge School Superintendent Eric Ely had applied for a position as school system director in Roane County,Tennessee.
This led to subsequent revelations about the arbitration surrounding the firing of a Southbridge High School mathematics teacher.
Now it has come to our attention that Mr. Ely is among those being considered for the position of Superintendent for the Billings, Montana School District.
It is becoming increasingly obvious that politics are destabilizing the continuity of the school district’s administration during a critical period of change.
Its to bad that this is happening. With the reorganizing of the elementary schools, a new Jr/Sr high school coming on line.What are we to do. Its a shame. Maybe the state should just come in and take over the system. O by the way someone should tell the school committee that they dress like a bunch of BUMS.

DeleteWe don't need the State to take over, elections are in June just vote out the old members. Maybe with two new members the Committee members will wake up and start listening the parents.
ReplyDeleteI remember when the public interview was held, I was not impressed with Mr. Ely. His background was also very troublesome to me. If I had the opportunity to vote, I would not have voted for him.

DeleteMary Ellen wants to be in charge again so she can allow the overspending of the budget by $2 or 3 Million like she did when she and Tarentino were Vice Chair respectively.
ReplyDeleteThey got us into the under performing situation. Thank God Jack Jovan got us out of it with his superb leadership. I will oppose anyone Mary Ellen Prencipe, a Clemence and Nikolla crony, supports.
