Back in May 2010 The Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education issued a report titled Southbridge Public Schools - Level 4 District Review.

At the time the district was facing the departure of Superintendent Dr. Dale Hanley.

Here is what the State had to say on the subject of finding her replacement at the time.

Update - June 11: The Lowell Sun reports that interviews for the four candidates for School Superintendent will be conducted on Wednesday, June 13. Eric Ely is scheduled to be interviewed starting at 2 pm. The Committee could reach a decision as early as Wednesday evening.

Southbridge School Superintendent Eric Ely is one of four finalists for Dracut Superintendent of Schools according to an article in The Lowell Sun.

One of the four finalists had previously been chosen for the position. In March the Dracut school committee voted 3 to 2 to enter into negotiations with the individual, a special education director in Peabody.
