With relentless inevitability this prediction has now come true for our top civil servant.
Southbridge Chief of Police Daniel Charette is now starring in a series of public service announcements on behalf of the Central Mass Chiefs of Police Association. The spots have been produced and aired by Charter Cable TV, Channel 3.
Among the topics addressed by the Chief are the dangers of texting while driving and the risks posed by driving in snow.

With this taste of television celebrity, who knows what further heights of public adulation he may covet?
One can only guess how long it may be before he sets his sights on a stage larger than the fiefdom he currently rules.
