School Hires Armed Guard - Forgets His Gun In Bathroom
“The only thing that will stop a bad guy with a gun
is a good guy with a gun”, or so the head of the NRA tells us.

advice a Lapeer County Michigan school hired an armed security guard. As the
local television news reported three days ago:

We closed last week looking forward to the week ahead.
Unlike most of you, my untempered anticipation resulted not from looking forward to an upcoming weekend of debauchery marking the traditional end of summer.
It certainly wasn’t marked by the fact that over that weekend I would be a virtual prisoner in my own home, unwilling to risk the prospect of going out and having to try to get home behind a caravan of vehicles heading to the Woodstock Fair given the detours on routes 131 and 169.

I am a licensed gun owner.
I am also proud to be an American and proud of our pioneer heritage.
However, I have to question the wisdom of our public decision-makers who have adopted a logo for our new Middle/High School that features one of these proud frontiersmen emphasizing the importance of guns thirteen years after the events at Columbine.
Why not show them scalping a Native American?
