Brent Abrahamson comes across as a half Wit!
His cantankerous demeanor is so tatterdemalion in style that no one gets when his refrigerator light actually turns on.
Madame Chair, he is only seen as the half-witted, swinish oaf he comes across as. Therefore, he is actually making things worse for everyone! DO SOMETHING - ANYTHING!!

Our school committee is exactly as Edmund Burke once said, " Learning will be cast into the mire and trodden down under the hoofs of a swinish multitude. "

What's needed is far more Leadership, Accountability, Transparency and Cooperation along with far less displays of Charlton St School patronage and the co-opting of town government.

In what way is the School Committee worse than the Liquor Board, the Board of Health, the Economic Development team, the sewer department, the financial team...

Our Highway department got its share of complaints in recent weeks, but they are probably the best run department in town, and like our Fire Department, is better than average, yet a certain councilor twice humiliated a Public Works manager trying to appear like he's watching our purse. That Council sold Wells on the cheap to prevent paying the heating bill this winter. Did that succeed?

How is the Industrial Park doing? Isn't there a team of three people selling it? Is the Town Manager confirming with Police demands after the private meeting in Dudley? Where's the minutes?

    K. O'Brien keep up the good work, get better and consider running for Mayor. Clean Sweep with tender bristles needed.

    1. Thanks for the kind words.
Unfortunately, it will be a while before I recuperate sufficiently to become truly active.
However, I think it is time for people to stop to consider what you say about transitioning to a mayoral system. Looking at the situation we now have, a strong mayor form of government, with the mayor having a seat on the school committee, may be the only realistic way to deal with the two components of town government (school and town) in an organized and unified fashion.
