Seriosly, how can ANY administratir that has,not even been here for theee Seasons of the year determine our goals and objectives? This should be preceded by a Workshop where Councilors and Citizen's can add to the Tiwn Manager's agenda. If he us,like thise, before him, he will be pushing for vertical expansion of the MEGATONNAGE LANDFILL instead of commencing its cleanup.Sadly, postponing will likely cost the town $250k-$550k a month in additional future clean up and liability costs. Why is there no Citizen's Forum? Let's hope they do not vote for what the new Town Manager from Connecticut proposes until after another meeting so that in our Bicentennial year they allow input from our Citizen's and Taxpayers.
Personally I don't care to hear most of the cittizen's forum regulars, not bc I disagree, but bc it annoys me that the Council seldom listens anyway, OR, even worse, they vote with the taxpayers, like on the leachate pretreat plant, and the town government and board of health proceeds with expansion anyway. The voice I will miss during this annual Agenda meeting, that the Town will mi$$ too, is Apple Vecchia. The Commonwealth DOES allow remote votes and two way video. If Apple or another missing Councilor is up for it, it would be very worthwhile to have a friendly volunteer visit with laptops and allow the missing Councilor to paticipate.
Was this meeting held? Usually video of Council Meetings are online soon after. If so, what was the Town Manager's Objectives and Goals?
Yes it was held, and yes it is a very important meeting, and no, it was not on Cable. And even though the Cable committee has run the equipment on many occasions without supervision or Mr. Montigny present, his, deoarture will likely be the reason given for not putting the meeting on Cable.
