Distorting Again – Romney Returns To His Roots: A Video Profile

Allow me to set the stage. Let’s return to the halcyon days of yesteryear when Mitt Romney and his fellow Republicans were bashing each other over the head in the Republican primaries.

In order to distinguish himself from his opponents in a state he was expected to win handily, Romney launched his first anti-Obama ad.

In case you’ve forgotten, Eric Fehrnstrom is better remembered for his “etch-a-sketch” and the “mandate is a tax, just like it was in Massachusetts” comments.

The latest firestorm on the right is fueled by the following quote:

However, if you take the time to put that comment in context, it takes on an entirely different tone:

Of course, to the dittoheads out there, it’s far easier to feed a 10 second sound bite into their hate inflated guts than to spend 3 minutes digesting the facts.

As for Mr. Romney, like so much in his past, he simply chose to forget what he had said previously.

    2. Ken, please don't stop anonymous from posting. He shows the ignorant hatred of those opposing Obama in favor of anybody else.

    3. Sorry to disappoint, but his "comments" have become nothing more than SPAM. Henceforth they will be treated as such.

  4. No Man Is An Island

    No man is an island,
    Entire of itself.
Each is a piece of the continent,
    A part of the main.
If a clod be washed away by the sea,
    Europe is the less.
As well as if a promontory were.
As well as if a manor of thine own
    Or of thine friend's were.
    Each man's death diminishes me,
For I am involved in mankind.
    Therefore, send not to know
    For whom the bell tolls,
    It tolls for thee.
