Ely’s Latest Exit Effort

It  is becoming an increasingly sad soap opera.

Southbridge School Superintendent Eric Ely has now applied for a position as superintendent of North Canton City Schools in Canton, Ohio.

According to the CantonRep.com, “At least 18 people have applied by the deadline Friday to become the next superintendent of North Canton City Schools, according to the Stark County Educational Service Center.”

One of the applicants is noted as, “Eric Ely, superintendent of Southbridge Public Schools in Southbridge, Ma.”

The article goes on to state, “Larry Morgan, the superintendent of the Stark ESC, which is assisting the school district’s Board of Education in its search, said more applications may be received by the end of Friday. He said he will present all of the candidates’ application materials to the board at an executive session on Wednesday.

He said he was not prepared to release any other information about the candidates until next week.

Board president Nancy Marion said the board has not yet decided how many candidates will be interviewed, when exactly they’ll be interviewed and the process to determine semifinalists and finalists.”

  1. Don't blame him! I heard Ms. Dominko has threatened him more than once. If BB goes, Ely or someone close to him goes.

  2. Ely obviously does not want to be here. I don't think he ever did, he was only interested in lipstick on the pig of his reputation from his last job.

    3. No wonder Ely gets along so well with Clemence, Nikolla and Clark. Wasn't Clark on the search committee?
